Our Major Accidents Officers provide support for installations requiring a permit within the meaning of the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG).

The tasks, in particular the prevention of hazards, result from § 58a Para. 1 BImSchG or § 58a Para. 2 BImSchG.

• Working towards improving the safety of the system,
• The immediate notification of disruptions to the intended operation that could lead to hazards for the general public and the neighborhood,
• Monitoring compliance with immission control regulations and directives by regularly inspecting the premises, reporting any deficiencies identified and making suggestions for remedial action,
• Reporting deficiencies in the area of preventive and defensive fire protection and technical assistance to the contractor and
• The preparation of an annual report on the measures taken and planned.
