Diisocyanate REACH Regulation (EU) No. 2020/1149: Specialized User Training for Level 1 to Level 3

Are you working with diisocyanates in your job? Starting from August 24, 2023, specific training is essential. Our training programs comply with REACH Regulation (EU) No. 1907/2006, providing comprehensive knowledge of necessary safety precautions when handling diisocyanates.

Diisocyanates are used in the production of polyurethane foam, coatings, and sealants and can cause respiratory diseases upon exposure. To mitigate this risk, the EU has imposed a restriction that mandates training for all commercial and industrial users of diisocyanates.

The training is categorized by levels of complexity – Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3, all ensuring that participants fully understand and can safely implement the regulations of the REACH Regulation. Whether you are a new user of diisocyanates looking to familiarize yourself with the basics (Level 1) or an experienced professional wanting to refresh and expand your knowledge (Level 2 and Level 3) – we have the right training for you.

Level 1

Schulungsbestandteile für alle industriellen und gewerblichen Verwendungen (Absatz 5 Buchstabe a)

Level 2

Schulungsbestandteile für folgende Verwendungen (Absatz 5 Buchstaben a und b):
 – Handhabung offener Gemische bei Raumtemperatur (inklusive in Schaumtunneln)
– Sprühen in einer belüfteten Spritzkabine
– Auftragen mit einer Rolle
– Auftragen mit einem Pinsel
– Auftragen durch Tauchen und Gießen
– Mechanische Nachbehandlung
– Reinigung und Abfallentsorgung

– Ähnliche Exposition durch Hautkontakt und/oder Einatmen

Level 3

Schulungsbestandteile für folgende Verwendungen (Absatz 5 Buchstaben a, b und c):
– Handhabung unvollständig getrockneter Erzeugnisse
– Gießereianwendungen
– Wartungs- und Reparaturarbeiten
– Offene Handhabung warmer oder heißer Formulierungen (> 45 °C)
– Sprühen unter freiem Himmel, mit eingeschränkter oder ausschließlich natürlicher Belüftung
– Ähnliche Exposition durch Hautkontakt und/oder Einatmen

At the end of each training, there is an examination, usually consisting of multiple-choice questions. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate recognized by all German authorities. This serves as proof of meeting the legal training requirements.
