Explosion Protection

We advise operators on all issues relating to ATEX, including the creation and review of explosion protection documents. We also carry out the six-year regulatory inspection of systems that do not require a permit.

Explosion protection is divided into two parts within the EU:

• ATEX 114 (manufacturer directive) and
• ATEX 137 (operator directive).

ATEX 114 is implemented in the 11th Product Safety Ordinance (Product Safety Act).

ATEX 137 is implemented in the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health and the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances (occupational health and safety law).

Our consulting services enable us to advise manufacturers and system operators equally well, in a legally compliant and long-term manner:

• Overview of all necessary laws, regulations, technical guidelines (TRGS, TRBS) and DIN standards
• Establish plant safety through, among other things Ex-zone classification, purchasing Ex-protected work and operating equipment, determining ignition sources and employee training
